[I was employed to work on the stack for the N9 (ofono and telepathy and a few other things) shortly before nokia gave up. I didn't develop anything for the N900, but used one A LOT for testing maemo stuff.]

@scott that's why I listed "turn it off" as an option. That allows you to turn it on if needed to document police brutality, but by default isn't going to track you.

Also, lol @ the "fear" stuff. Reminds me of the "fear of covid" anti mask people. This is just making it less easy for police and government to harass you. Fear would be staying home.
