I’ve thought about web rings repeatedly for the past several years. There’s an easy way to do it that will serve its purpose while also not getting a site in trouble (assuming Google even cares about this anymore, which I doubt they do and would likely ignore now anyway).

With @bsky.brid.gy, @Flipboard, and @threads posts along with all of the other posts from @Mastodon and the other platforms that support #ActivityPub, I’m having zero issues keeping up with :allthethings: It’s nice to finally have my social media world (de)centralized and 100% in my control and using my own domain.

This is on point for the Microsoft I know (and avoid).

Yes! I saw people giving Apple grief for those commercials, but Google's Gemini and all of the equivelents are selling the exact same thing. Apple is just better at communicating it.

@redcrew @shawnhooper I'm a WP Engine customer who was already considering moving to Pressable before this mess started. Now I'm considering migrating everything to Ghost and abandoning WP completely after the latest move by MM.

When I Bookmark something, it's just for me.

When I Like something, it's just for me and the person who made the post.

When I boost something, it's because I want to share it with others.

There's no software in the background recording and evaluating my behavior so it can decide the best ads to show me, and what I should see or not see in my feed to increase my engagement.

It's pretty nice not being the product anymore and just enjoying the web again.
