Maybe my memory isn't as good as I hoped. Or perhaps I see the past with rose colored glasses. But I honestly don't remember government officials and talking heads speaking so openly and freely about killing people. It may have been the goal but I just don't recall Senators saying, "we must kill Pol Pot and all communists in Cambodia." Or, "Hồ Chí Minh and all those in the Worker's Party must be murdered before we stop dropping bombs and all civilians in the way are just collateral damage."

Not saying that's not what they did. I just don't remember the words spread to the world being so blatant.

This is me! I boost almost everything. I was told when I first started here that "liking" does nothing except let the person know you saw their post. To get people to see anything or show appreciation for a post, boost it. So it's a habit. Good bad or ugly, I boost everything I like 😁

I can honestly, and thankfully, say, my family didn't own plantations or enslave people. Too recently immigrated here. The one side that came right before the civil war actually worked with and loved the Indigenous people. Enough so that one tribe deeded a great deal of land to my great*4 grandfather. The city stole it. Any money in the family was lost fighting the city of Chicago

My mom, a #Union teacher then professor. My Dad, owned a real estate company but was the village president, the president of the Chicago suburb mayor's and Manager's association, worked with the Democratic caucus and was asked to run for the Senate by the governor. My mom wouldn't let him 😂

I'm much older and have always been left, way left, of many. I won't say most because I believe most are left of anything that is reported in the media in the US.

My parents, both gone now, life long progressives. Campaigned for McGovern with enthusiasm and never changed

I know someone who bought into the Starbucks union busting. When their store had the vote, she voted no. She said she'll wait to see what happens with other stores who voted for the union. 🤦🏻

It's not debatable imo. It's bad. There's no two ways about it. They can hate us all they want. I think it's because they know we're right and they can't figure out a way to make themselves right other than bluster
