   My family are dual citizens, Canadian and US.

   My daughter turned 18 and was entitled to vote in both countries.

   Her first ballot in Canada had 1 choice: member of parliament.

   Her first ballot in California had 81 choices: dozens of local, state and federal elected positions as well as a wall of local and state ballot measures.

   Has anyone bought any of the t-shirts that are offered in the Mastodon Shop? I want to buy one but I'm not sure what size to get. The website measures t-shirt sizes by "chest width," which must be an European thing cuz I've never seen clothes measured like that in the US.

   My chest is about 20 inches wide, which would put me in a Small size according to their size chart. But I normally wear an extra large so I don't think that's right.

   Can anyone explain? Help!

   Today we remember the signing of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo which ended the Mexican-American War & gave the northern Mexican territory to the US.

   My family was living on the land then. They immediately lived on U.S. territory, but were not US citizens.

   It took New Mexico another 50 years for my ancestors to become US citizens. Immigration and Latinos have been exploited ever since.

   This is interesting rhetoric on the part of the Iranian regime.

   They've been publicly threatening the US even in the absence of any threats on the part of the US.

   My suspicion is that they're trying to goad the US into attacking Iran, in the hope that this will unite its population behind the government the way it did last time.

   Like, in the US, you can't throw a rock without hitting a Thai restaurant, because the Thai government has spend 40 years investing in establishing Thai restaurants in the US.

   My small town has three Thai restaurants.

   There are over ten times as many FilAms in America, but finding a Filipino restaurant is very rare, even though Filipino cuisine has been hyped in recent years in the US.
