TikTok does a lot of heinous shit and incentivizes a lot of rancid racist behavior, but that doesn't mean it should be banned, particularly under the xenophobic justifications people are using to do so.

Like, I'm angry about the proposed ban for all the reasons I've boosted, and I'm ALSO angry that it means I have to support that fucking platform in the process.

@emilygorcenski In context of the thread you responded to, you are LITERALLY saying that you don't care if nonwhite VA voters stay home on election day due to Biden's abetting of genocide because you don't think we're needed OR because you don't think what we care about matters. Maybe think about the message that sends regarding WHICH people of Virginia you care about and what you think "the average Virginia voter" looks like.

@AnthonyJK just as a factual correction, the list absolutely includes plenty of extremely obvious toxic bigoted Nazi garbage servers, but there is an "anonymous" page going around that has only focused on the trans spaces on the list in order to defend them. I am not making any statements here as to the intent of that page's framing, just correcting the record.
