@tokyo_0 No other social media does so natively. Twitter doesn’t even have an API but I think they did plan to have this feature in their premium tier. Threads wouldn’t delete the posts but is planning to make them private after some time. BlueSky has an API so there are some 3rd party services that do so and of course you can write your own. But I like it just being an option here on Mastodon.

@tokyo_0 That is just horrible. Remove all 2fa from that unreliable service provider. You don't know when you their software or processes will break.

@tokyo_0 One way is to lobby your own government and public institutions to be in the fediverse. Preferably not via threads. Europe is doing so, and I saw a petition going around for Canadian government too. Govts are the only heavy weights that can stand up to tech giants.

@tokyo_0 Maybe the solution is to not "block" threads but only "limit" them. I believe you are on an instance that has "blocked" threads.net

@tokyo_0 Wise has been wonderful for me. I had heard about the difficulties people faced earlier but Wise has made them all in the past.

dtrace seemed like magic when it was introduced. I felt so empowered debugging issues without source code. I think I even managed to solve a few bugs.

@evan when you have done it once and left behind your original social circle, it is easier to do it again.

@thomasfuchs I see. I think the option to block the whole domain is also present in Toot! app. But I don’t see it in Ivory. A very powerful tool … I hope they ask for multiple confirmations in the apps.
