@4d3fect no, we had dish drawers, which I don't hate really but they've been not doing well for a while now and I think the motors have finally kicked the bucket

@thomasfuchs Mine was the bank calling me to remind me that I had forgot to pay the November car loan payment.
The fact that they waited until January to let me know tells me something about the bank. I have reasonable argument for it being either good or bad. 🙂

@thomasfuchs We closed out the year with a new water heater. Just after we left for Spain! Perfecto!

@nemeciii Yes, but they don't have the warranty here. You can buy a 10-year dishwasher warranty from them for just $779…

@thomasfuchs Does Miele sell to USA. Not cheap but that 10 year warranty is nice.

@adnan you buy appliances to last 10-20 years so at US income levels they’re very cheap (like a $1,000 dishwasher realistically costs $5/month), plus they save a lot of power and water (and time), so in the end they’re practically free.
anyway for me it’s number 1 priority is low noise because the way my house is laid out.

@thomasfuchs oops. The new energy efficient models are really expensive. What would you be prioritizing when you buy a new dishwasher?
I come from a country that doesn’t use one so I don’t know which factors are more important
