@liztai 🤝 from me, halfway through War of Faith right now, a few days behind the episodes airing on CCTV...8 I think, and thinking about what messages we're meant to get from it and what messages I do actually get. (And avoiding Weibo because I don't wanna get spoiled for tonight's latest twists.)

This just in from episode 2: Zhou Shen getting extremely nervous and being very worried about his Cantonese pronunciation and then knocking it out of the park anyway is very on brand. He's so sweet and relatable that way. And my god I don't speak Cantonese but I sure listened to the other singer sing many of those lyrics first and he sounded like he kept up JUST FINE.
