I finally watched Stray Kids new MV for "Divine" and I don't have complex thoughts yet other than that I loved it and I shared my earbuds with my 7yo niece for our first watch and spent it explaining in kid vocab how wirework qinggong works and that the smoke effects could be filmed with a camera or done on a computer, and that KPop really exists but that they aren't really martial artists, this is a fantasy video (she had just watched the first half of KPDH with me so this was very relevant.)

@lookitmychicken this is amusing to me because we know not to listen to Chan about what his songs supposedly are about, we've heard so much blarney from him at this point. At my house "it's about trains" is a massive running joke and something we say constantly.

@skinnylatte yum! It's true, being able to look up recipes in Chinese and read them opens the way to so many good recipes. My spoken language skills are iffy but being able to find recipes and watch cooking videos in Russian and Mandarin is such a joy for me.

@liztai 🤝 from me, halfway through War of Faith right now, a few days behind the episodes airing on CCTV...8 I think, and thinking about what messages we're meant to get from it and what messages I do actually get. (And avoiding Weibo because I don't wanna get spoiled for tonight's latest twists.)

I find I don't want to watch anyone's modern day military/police shows right now, but I don't want to watch stuff that looks like my own suburban US white person life, either.
