@jacklaridian I've no doubt that that's true, and I'm sorry if I came off as implying that atheists are starving, I only meant it as an example of an all-or nothing paradigm, peppered with some yuk yuk hyperbole.
I respect any earnestly held worldview, and I have a lot of respect for atheists, not least because of the shit y'all take from the right. I've just had a few friends that lost the faith and felt heartbreak that they also had to lose a spiritual lifestyle, and it kills me.
Friends and enemies, I would like to show you the best blue screen of death I've ever seen. I pulled over with two hyperactive dogs in the car just to take the picture.
Absolutely fucking livid. The local public school system is forcing students to take "adoption awareness" (anti-abortion indoctrination) training. You can opt out. I opted my daughter out.
They just made her take it. No students were asked to leave. None. My daughter is begging me not to go to the school with my very pointed questions about what's going on.
The absolute funniest thing about this situation is 50 years from now when TPM is hailed as a visionary, nay, PROPHETIC film. Sadly, George Lucas will be gone by then and won't be able to do history's biggest neener-neener dance. https://mastodon.sdf.org/@bgrinter/114283246050839893
Had a perfect piece of timing today, rest-wise. I got to...not exactly nap, because my body wasn't up for that, but at least drift a little on the couch this morning while Pete snoozed on me and my wife went to a volunteer thing.
I got up and ran to get new reading glasses because mine broke, and got back just in time to see she was home from her thing and taking a recovery nap. Just in time for Pete to start whining. So we went to the park, and then a drive through downtown, while she slept.
