CEO announced (quietly) that DotHouse pool may close as early as mid-January. This, only months after the large Boston neighborhood of Dorchester lost it’s only hospital. Apparently the pool hasn’t been bringing in enough money. I hope this person will realize the incredible value that such a resource is to us. At least give a proper announcement and some real notice. Swimming is important. You owe it to your community to put in some effort toward a solution

Friends, if you can this week, give the mayor’s office a call. Reach out to your city counselor. I want to know where John Fitzgerald is.

With the #Boston Globe reporting on yesterday’s event, my estimate is that hundreds of people gathered to say No #Pride in Genocide. It was powerful - especially considering that some of our active protestors had departed the previous night to be in Washington 🇵🇸
At Boston’s Saint James Ave and Berkeley St, I felt the energy under my feet. Numerous pple in the parade were expressing their support for Palestine, too. On Boston Common, we connected the past and present struggles of our community.

TIL that Judy Garland was born Frances Ethel Gumm, and the night of her funeral was the Stonewall riot - in 1969.
