    “Dave Coulier and Alanis Morissette started dating in 1992 when he was 33 and she was 18. They broke up in 1994 around the time that Morissette was writing her third album “Jagged Little Pill”, and upon hearing the song “You Oughta Know”, which was released as the album's first single in July of 1995, actor Dave Coulier believed the song was about him. The song instantly garnered attention for its scathing, explicit lyrics.

    Dave Coulier apparently said “I'm driving in Detroit and l've got my radio on, and I hear the hook for 'You Oughta Know' come on the radio and I’m like wow, this is a really cool hook. And then I start hearing the voice. I was listening to the lyrics and saying to myself oh no, I can't be this guy. As I was listening to it, I thought I must have really hurt this woman.”

    Coulier had this to say about the ‘I hate to bug you in the middle of dinner’ line in the song. “We had already broken up. She called and I said, Hey, you know, l'm right in the middle of dinner, can I call you right back? When I heard the line, l was like, uh-oh.

    Coulier's former television co-star Bob Saget said in one interview that he was present when Morissette made that call during dinner. However in the 2021 documentary “Jagged”, Morissette denied the song is about Coulier, despite the coincidental timing.

    Other celebrities have been rumoured to be the lover in the song, including: Mike Peluso, hockey player for the New Jersey Devils; Matt LeBlanc, the actor who appeared in the video for Morissette's single "Walk Away" in 1991; and Leslie Howe, a musician and the producer of Morissette's first two albums in the early 1990s.”

    @Soy_Magnus @TheMadPirate @Varg @blockbot DRC’s beef with Pieville goes back to my days posting on VNN Forum back in the early 2010’s. VNN was Alex Linder’s online forum. One of the moderators there was @Varg who was a midget tyrant who everyone on the forum despised. He used to ban people for no reason or try to intimidate users with his mod status. He was really a standing joke around there and most people would just tell him to fuck his mother whenever he would try to flex on them.

    In late 2018, after the Robert Bowers shooting, Alex Linder got banned from Gab without any warning, and was spitballing ideas about an alternative platform. I was already a regular at FSE at that point, and I suggested to him that he create a federated instance. Right away, manlet Varg completely dismisses the idea, ignorantly saying that “Mastodon bans hate speech”, as if there’s some central authority on a DECENTRALIZED collection of servers with the ability to do such a thing, the fucking cuckolded ignoramus.

    Anyway, early into 2019, lo and behold Vargina sure enough set up Pieville on the Fedi for Alex Linder, using Mastodon of all things. We coexisted, Pieville and FSE, but Vargina would occasionally do his usual routine, talking shit out the side of his neck at people on other instances, for which he would get brutally raped.

    As time went by, Alex Linder developed a monomaniacal hatred for anime and Catholicism and would lash out regularly at Poast users the vast majority of whom are appreciators of both. DRC is certainly an anime-respecting instance, and additionally, at least in my own case though I am lapsed to put it charitably, I did nevertheless attend Catholic schools from grades K through 9. So DRC users often found themselves on the receiving end of Linder’s vitriol.

    Eventually we made a sport out of spamming Linder’s posts with images of cunny and anime booba, and then larger instances like Varis and Poast would join in, sending Linder over the edge. Last year during a period of time when registrations were open, Linder made a sockpuppet account on DRC and posted a graphic bomb threat, which caused our host to literally get emails from the feds about it. Ever since then, Linder is considered glowiest glownigger fed to ever fedpost on the internet and should be regarded as the toxic waste that he is.

    @Tony @marine Decades ago, and I was probably drunk when this happened, I conceived a get-rich quick idea of selling breast milk in cartons to be carried in the dairy section of grocery stores. I didn’t have anything in mind as far as logistics and other particulars was concerned, so the idea went nowhere. As did my other idea — daytime soap opera action figures. :shrug2:
