I was anticipating that when the Beast race tradition was explained, but I didn’t see any reaction from anyone implying that that outcome was one that held any water. I mean, the dog & cat girls would be the ones most likely to point that out or behave differently, you’d think. Maybe the female teacher with glasses who heavily disapproved of the whole thing might. But, I’m expecting that to be pointed out or addressed at some point.

Also I have been spoiled by comments in the manga releases

Yeah, one of the pages after a chapter warned on that and I realized that’s a bonus of using Tachiyomi over a website.

Rudy fucks around a LOT more than his dad did.

I’d have to see just how much his dad messed around before Rudy was born to have a baseline. But, it seems like it might have been a lot. Or he was just a flirt and only indulged fully in a handful of women (still weird that it sounds like he basically raped Lilia (the maid) early on…still curious what her angle really was in seducing him again.

Roxy is one of his wives.

Yaaayy~. I usually like harem series to end in an actual harem, but have found that to be exceedingly rare (maybe that’s changed with Isekai series?). This one is one I would have been fine if he didn’t, since that help him grow more as the person he wasn’t in his past life, as opposed to just being elaborate wish fulfillment with some caveats and extra steps (and actual effort).
At least, in this series, there are actual love rivals and other males that are just as worthy of attraction as the MC and many (most?) of the other attractive female characters go for them. It’s really refreshing.
Actually, Rudy seems to be getting waifus that have great ability, but are otherwise personally disadvantaged and neglected. Roxy and Sylphy are both flat chested and are quite lonely, despite being very cute and having some guys interested in them, and Eris is potentially chesty and beautiful and comes from nobility, but is really difficult to approach and has trouble actually being a decent person to others (without Rudy or someone else already close to her around). Basically, he’s not getting the girls that “literally everyone else in the world” wants and would kill and die to be with; he’s getting the gems that are left. They’re like the highly valuable pity picks. Lol

I might check that out, sometime. But, that seems like a fair assessment of this manga. It is always interesting to see the differences between versions or adaptations. I tried watching Classroom of the Elite and then switched to reading the manga when the season was finished. The main character is totally different. In the anime, he is pretty flat at the start, but later reveals how sociopathic and scary he is, to the point you can easily consider him to be a true villain (and maybe the worst of them all). In the manga, he seems like a normal “teenage” protagonist that just has some hidden ambition and some tricks up his sleeve, but is otherwise having to figure stuff out as he goes along, but then starts developing these darker traits in a “somehow” kind of manner. The anime is way more consistent and, I think, executes some of its arcs better, while the manga feels like it isn’t sure what it wants things to be, but is insisting its known all along (allegedly). This is weird, because both come from a LN, as well…

Isn’t that tied with their affinity for big breasts (the men, at least)? And you’re referring to the beast girls at the school, right? In that case, they would hit both those genetic strike zones. Just their personalities are lacking.

@coolboymew @Bead @mangeurdenuage Manga is probably the least tedious of the three main kinds of mass media for Japanese storytelling. Anime is locked in at a fixed rate and LNs have a lot of description and internal dialogue or commentary to get through.
I’m not sure I care enough about getting to/through spoilers to read the LN of this, though. But, I just caught up on the manga (ch. 83), so…. :WarPout: Darn. Another series to wait forever on.

Also pretty sure the both of them are his fiancées now.

I’m assuming this has to do with LN stuff later on, since he and Sylphy are married? That part went a lot better than I thought, since it seemed like the relationship stuff was just going to go to Hell with all the poor decisions and mounting consequences, just prior.

@Bead @coolboymew @mangeurdenuage Can confirm now. Just got past that point in the manga. They also look more “baby”-ish in those screenshots. And she just says “there’s a proper procedure for that” in small text instead of spelling out dating and marriage.

@ledocool431 @coolboymew I resisted as hard as I could for the longest time, but I am starting to concede that there may be something to the theory of it being a primal expression of our primordial sexuality/characteristics.

Women=flowers, baby anything

Women don’t show a personal, non-academic interest in things like mushrooms or obelisks unless they’re in heat. This woman doesn’t get it because she literally lacks the wiring. She physically cannot understand.

So far, Bronies win. Why is the Sonic fandom so bad? I hear they made some good fan games, but no legit symphonic metal operas, no masterpieces like Fallout: Equestria, no Fighting Is Magic (I will see that game finished and there’s nothing Hasbro can do about it), And So Much More®™©!
I mean, I love Sonic a lot, but nothing the fandom has made and virtually nothing about the “extended universe” of Sonic’s world has ever caught my interest.

@coolboymew @Remi Kind of hilarious how the most “sexist” turned seamlessly into the mostest of the most allies in the, as @Rudolf_von_Goldenbaum put it, post-Gamergate era. And they act like everyone shoulda known the whole time! Either they have no self-awareness or no actual values or both. Like how everyone went from open homophobia to “let the gays get married, you bigots!” in just under one presidency.

@coolboymew @nukie @bot @olmitch Yeah, it’s a large combination of factors that added up. I think each furry can point to something different as the thing than did it for them. I still don’t get the fur suits, though.

@lanodan @coolboymew A relative saw it when she was on a world tour with a choir group. It totally threw her since she was from Louisiana and didn’t expect to see it out of the States. And I saw it in Japan when I went there. It was in tons of restaurants and even some shops. Totally unexpected. Lol

@coolboymew @lanodan It definitely was surprise to go on that tour in Louisiana. They built the place near/above a giant salt mine, which they use its contents in the preserving and processing of the peppers and such. I also got a tiny Tabasco bottle, which was cool. Haha.
Almost as weird were the Tabasco-flavored chips and Tabasco-flavored ice cream they had in the gift shop. Both were surprisingly good, actually.
