I loaned out my 1998 copy of Derrick C Brown’s chapbook (who that year came in 2nd at the national poetry slam, and went on to found Write Bloody Press) to a pretty girl who won’t return my messages. I just want a copy of Bomb Threat Checklist which afaik is only published there and in audio form on a CD called “Have a Jolly Holiday” (which I also had but lost)

Today, I submitted my 100th resume. I’m *excellent* at building advanced web applications and experiences. Over the years, I’ve developed an instinct for whether an interaction will “work” without having to actually write any code. I’m hungry to learn new things and tackle the next challenge.

We should have heard about a wave of Microsoft protest resignations in the last few months from this spyware-as-a-service nonsense, and the fact we didn’t tells you everything you need to know about Microsoft, its culture, and the industry as a whole.

@aral to solve the setup time issue, would it be possible to create a pool of servers in advance? I could see this being unviable due to additional expense or being beyond the complexity budget.

I’ve been having a bunch of dental work done over the last month or so, and now all Bad Things (tm) in the world exist on a continuum of pain in which they are compared to a root canal.
