Mastodon, for the last two years has been my favourite social media platform, better conversations, smarter people, etc etc, it has also been the major driving force in my music sales on Bandcamp, thank you for that, it really means a lot.

The other platforms don't come close, however, I am surprised to say, two random interactions on Threads in as many days have lead to me selling music, which is shocking.

I don't think Bluesky has done anything for me at all.

Please share if you can! I just need a couple of music sales and I'm happy!

@aral Great, those fucking things have been pissing me off for ages now. Maybe now they'll vanish, and if more paywalls come up so be it, I'm rapidly losing interest in bypassing them only to see someone trying to sell me biased info or opinion piece drivel.

Buying food shopping/basic household items with money I've made from selling my music feels really good, and I just realised I was wearing shoes my music paid for last year while I did the shopping. I'm still poor as all fuck, but that's really cool. Thank you so much everyone who supports my music.

@Hex If not working remotely, it's a health and safety breach if your working conditions do not have working toilet facilities.

Plaster of Paris should never be put down toilets or sinks, it hardens very quickly and causes blockages that can require expensive plumbing. If some amount of it is put down a sink or toilet at the end of a business day on a Friday, there is no doubt that Monday and Tuesday the working conditions would not be fit.

Health and safety is important.

@screwtape I guess it depends who you trust though, wouldn't surprise me if Tor isn't the backend for something else. Where does it stop, I just assume everything I do online is recorded and visible to everyone always, even private messages, I always have since I was a kid on dial up.

I have never been brave enough to use the dark web, and after looking at YouTube videos of other people using it, it seems like a mixture of total shit and ways to get flagged by governments.

While I do want the NSA dudes checking my music out, I'm not that invested in it.

If there's stuff up about him on the dark web I wonder what it is, I'd be almost tempted to reach out to the guy who called him out but it's not worth it.

Back to ignoring him again.

God he's so embarrassing.

He's also been making some very lofty claims about how his music can save the world, that type of guff. It's very embarrassing.

He put up a thing about fraudulent art, starting writing that passing stock images/music off as your own is wrong, I agree with him there, which is why it made me so happy to see someone call him out for use of stock images in his own album art and how he didn't used to attribute his own album covers to stock.

Apparently there's stuff about him on the dark web!

There's a very decent chance he'll see this. I know he still stalks my social media profiles.

I have been generally avoiding looking at anything he's doing, but every few weeks I feel the need to laugh.

Christmas day he must have been very drunk because he spouted some sexism and had a whole back and forth with some guy on Bluesky, got blocked and proceeded to start stalking the guy and calling him a Nazi. Classic. The guy he was calling a Nazi is a leftist writer.

Alright so, the guy who has been harassing me online for 3 years has pretty much stopped, it seems (helps I'm no longer using Twitter), although I did see him do something that amused me, he was telling another musician (in a circle I wouldn't ever want anything to do with) never to work with me.

You've got to laugh, really, and then he's all 'peace and love everyone'.

I have never seen a more obviously hypocritical man, and the disconnect in his own brain... It's kind of stunning.

@fredrik @jeffowski Nope, not everyone with an abusive parent has an ability to read people easily, they may only have an ability to read their abusive parent/(s), it also depends on the kind of abuse, neglect or isolation may lead to the victims of those kinds of abuses being socially inept and unable to comprehend very basic signals.

Generalisations such as the above are not helpful.

I'm sorry Fediverse, I'm sorry everyone who knows better, but, I have over the last decade slowly formed a taste for McDonald's coffees.

I generally hate massive corporations and I've avoided McDonald's most of my adult life, a lot of my childhood and teenage years too, however, I weirdly like their coffee.

@goatsarah I thought that was some kind of indoor art installation for a few seconds, or some kind of abstract art study on symmetry! Very cool photo, that would make a nice print to have above a door.
