@rootcompute it's better from a pure gameplay perspective, absolutely. i think, for me, the inability to transfer pokes to other versions (easily or ahem, officially) and the lack of connectivity to other people is what makes it feel off.

the context here is i plan on playing crystal on my miyoo mini plus and it feels a little weird. i haven't looked much into trading/battling with others on weirdo hardware though, maybe it's possible?

i f%^king hate TIME and PHYSICS. i am literally looking at the clock at 11:30 and ten minutes later it is 11:40 and i HATE IT. i drop things on the floor and bump into things and I HATE IT.

i lose a follower a day on average likely from cringe walls-of-text spam and this is like a badge of honor and good riddance (not drunk) (someone is likely to unfollow from this garbage too)

i don't care (i do) but i noticed a lot of these accounts are no-post-accounts which unfollow me when i don't follow them back.

for the record, if i follow you it's because i find you interesting on some level. if i suspect manufactured-personality-for-maximum-engagement or follow-bot or if i just don't like you, i will not follow; there may be other categories. i am wist and whimsy and reserve the right to delete this account at any time (exclamation point)

Panic! At The Disco's first album is so embarrassingly catchy, and considering their output afterwards, i'm convinced this guy sold his soul to demons to make it; the cost being: neverever make another good song, ever.

it's a free digital magazine. i write articles for it then will put those articles on the site eventually. i also ask fediverse people if they want to write for it as guests, so it's sort of like a digital collective of authors who take games way too seriously. the best example is the magazine itself, here:

i've thought about this, some. i think it's because the internet (especially social media) creates bubbles of extremism for every ideology, so it's not an accurate representation of what to expect in fleshy human interaction. by this theory, Mastodon is more akin to a perpetual X-rights rally rather than a "i'm going to some random social function with friends."

was at an "adult function" and video games came up and it's always so awkward. after this guy went on about Helldivers 2 and Palworld, he asked me: "what do you play?" and i was all, like, "uhh ... hmmm .. ermm..." and he was eyeing me very curiously and then i said: "uh well actually i don't play video games" and made some excuse to leave the area.

@jake4480 it's not that i have disdain for people who only do the "mainstream" stuff, i just don't want to have to explain what "Phantasy Star Online" is or whatever i happen to be playing. it also gives off a snobby vibe on my part (which i am totally a snob but i try to avoid unleashing the beast)

the thing about helldivers people is they are very interested in the 'what' of Helldivers while I am very interested in the 'why' of "why do you play Helldivers (or any game)" and the "and how does that make you feel" and these conversations are very intimate and I am not inebriated
