i like the idea of following a bot that posts images/quotes of stuff i like but i always get annoyed after a week or so and end up blocking them

as someone who is fairly prudish about #DoingIt, watching #SexAndTheCity has been an almost-enlightening experience that is hard to quantify. there are some people who are so obsessed with touching other bodies that they wax poetic about it and write about waxing poetic about it and there's something deeply human here that i had been prudishly ignoring. #SexAndTheCity is one of the most unique television shows ever created, and i recommend it for the uncomfortableness it can elicit alone.

we have so many perhaps-biological defenses against recognizing the truth of the matter being that we are gross flesh balloons living in very suboptimal conditions even if we have it better than our ancestors who drew cave murals with blood. modern existence is still heinous although the modern comforts like air conditioner were developed to mask this. life is, from a feeling-good-more-often-than-not metric, continuously hard to justify. and no, i'm not depressed; i am simply alive.

I have it on good authority that #Nintendo "Switch 2" (named the "Swipe") is a card-based console with a card reader built into the unit. The cards, once swiped, unlock access to: full games, wallpapers, avatars, DLC, and even apps like Hulu, YouTube, and Netflix. The Swipe will be released by the end of Q2 2025, alongside over 200 cards purchased separately in booster packs.

One of the neat things about this is that, if you still have old e-Reader cards, you can swipe them for fun extras.

sounds all nice like "aw Dominos executives care lots 'bout their employees" but then you think about how the pizza is marked up compared to the cost of ingredients so a 1-to-1 tip-to-pizza conversion rate is more like $1 to $0.05 and then the whole "lengths i will go to continue to pay employees as close to nothing as is legally allowed!" factor.
