I'm 50 pages into my interactive fiction. I've only finished writing one quest, the character can't leave the first kingdom yet, and I'm nowhere near done.

I'm not sure if #Twine will be able to handle it when it's done

@gemlog As for the toilet, it seems Canadian Tire might have them: https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/search-results.html?q=Toto%20Washlet

Home Depot and Costco also appear to have them, but I don't think you want to drive for a whole day to Prince George for that

@gemlog I don't know if it's going to end in civil war, a revolution, or world war 3. It depends on how bad things get economically and who on the political spectrum it affects.

Trump is already starting to lose support within his own party. It's possible these actions regarding Venezuela violate the War Powers Resolution of 1973: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_Powers_Resolution

If there's a draft for a war, I think the other two are more likely because the last time there was a draft, it was the Vietnam War and everyone hated it. All conflicts (the US hasn't officially declared war on anyone since 1942) since then were done with enlisted personnel

@gemlog I understood. I'm not sure how well asylums are equipped for those that would otherwise be in a nursing home

@gemlog He needs to be an asylum that doubles as a nursing home because he is clearly losing whatever mental faculties he had in 2016.

He already had narcissism when his brain worked at its peak and it's only gone downhill from there. Truth is irrelevant to him as is consequences. He always considers himself the victim and whatever facts make him look good are his head canon

@gemlog @mpjgregoire British Columbia could have been part of the US back in the 1800's as well: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oregon_boundary_dispute

      Oregon boundary dispute
The Oregon boundary dispute or the Oregon Question was a 19th-century territorial dispute over the political division of the Pacific Northwest of North America between several nations that had competing territorial and commercial aspirations in the region. Expansionist competition into the region began in the 18th century, with participants including the Russian Empire, Great Britain, Spain, and the United States. After the War of 1812, the Oregon dispute took on increased importance for diplomatic relations between the British Empire and the fledgling American republic. In the mid-1820s, the Russians signed the Russo-American Treaty of 1824 and the Russo-British Treaty of 1825, and the Spanish signed the Adams–Onís Treaty of 1819, by which Russia and Spain formally withdrew their respective territorial claims in the region, and the British and the Americans acquired residual territorial rights in the disputed area. But the question of sovereignty over a portion of the North American Pacific coast was still contested between the United Kingdom and the United States. The disputed area was defined as the region west of the Continental Divide of the Americas, north...

@gemlog Back in 2000, you didn't need a passport to go to the US by road. Adults just needed a photo id. I went to Canada and didn't need a passport back in 2004 or 2005. Now crossing the border is a ballache even with a passport regardless of your race or citizenship

@gemlog @emkingma I don't live in that county, so they charge people outside the county $15/year for a library card. My county has a tiny library which is actually further away than this one

@emkingma There's a very big different between there and here. I just looked and the library system in the next county over (we have a card for $15/year and it's maybe 7 miles away) has 42 copies of the book with 29 available

@gemlog I don't even bother watching movies for the most part but do the same if there's a chance they they make any money off my watching it. I've quit listening to certain artists/bands because of what they've done or are doing (for example Kid Rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd, David Allan Coe, Charlie Daniels, and Ted Nugent) because they could get royalties from it

@gemlog He's one of the Maple MAGAs. I have nothing against him as a player but I do recently as a person.

He's one of those people where you have to separate their work from the person because one is good but the other is absolute shit. Hulk Hogan (WWF wrestler) is another example of that because Hulk was great but the person behind the character was a total piece of shit

@gemlog He was about your age as well. The oddest part was he was carrying about this while wearing a hi-viz jacket with his own tree company's contact information on the back.

I knew they swapped back in the day but I don't understand the bit about blue for girls. I think there was some sort of biblical connection for purity but don't know for sure

A guy at the bank was carrying on about how he refuses to use a pink pen and would rather hitch hike than drive a pink car.

How fragile must your masculinity be to be so offended by a color that you refuse to use anything that is that color? To the point that you would risk your own safety to avoid driving a pink car?

This is the sort of madness that lurks in some people's heads
