   Been reading "Careless People" by Sarah Wynn-Williams before it's due to be returned to local library on Monday. I'm about 3/4 of the way through. Been on a library reservations waiting list to read it since it was published.

   While you can blame Meta/Facebook for a load of s**t, a huge chunk of blame should lie at the feet of regulators all over the world, including in the UK.

   Anyway, more people should probably borrow it from their local library

     @emkingma There's a very big different between there and here. I just looked and the library system in the next county over (we have a card for $15/year and it's maybe 7 miles away) has 42 copies of the book with 29 available

     @gemlog @emkingma I don't live in that county, so they charge people outside the county $15/year for a library card. My county has a tiny library which is actually further away than this one
