@me_ I zoomed in and was reading each title, and when I got to the postscript section thought: why would you have the blue book but not the red book? That's insane.
Then noticed the red book sitting horizontally on top...
@futurebird Was on a small boat (visiting a lighthouse) and the captain was complaining about the UI for the radar, which was a touchscreen, and... didn't work if your hands were wet. Oops.
When my computer suddenly starts being weird and ignoring mouse buttons and keystrokes, I pull this Oz looking key out of my pocket and turn the keyswitch. It reruns my xmodmap & xkbset commands from my .xsession startup file.
All fixed.
(This only happens once or twice a year, but it can be such a hassle to fix by hand...)
If you used the internet in the US in the early 90s, your traffic was handled by Trans Witches! (A TRANSWITCH chip was part of every interface board on the NSFnet's experimental T3 routers.)
This is the best photo of magnetic core memory I've ever taken. IBM, early 60s. Shot with a microscope lens mounted on a 35mm B&W digital camera. No post!
