@GreenRoc @hellomiakoda @KatyElphinstone As a German, I imagine that learning English spelling must be hell for autistic kids. The fact that there seem to be no rules to connect spelling and pronounciation and that everything is more or less arbitrary must be really problematic.

@rmblaber1956 @GreenRoc @hellomiakoda @KatyElphinstone Yeah, German syntax is not for the faint of heart. :) But in the specific context of autistic traits, it has the advantage of being very rule-based. Lots of rules, some of them maddeningly complicated, but there are rules.

@GreenSkyOverMe @AnarchoNinaWrites I can also remember this from West Germany up to the 1980s. Tetrapacks replaced those things extremely fast at some point, but the bags did absolutely exist.

@GreenSkyOverMe @DeliaChristina I love the example of LLMs providing GaaS (gaslighting as a service). This is 100% typical LLM output that can be easily recognized as such - and still, OP could be convinced to doubt themselves instead of assuming that the slop machine slopped slop.

@foobarblubb @GreenSkyOverMe Ja gut, aber wenigstens wusstest Du, dass Du nach der Vorband gehen kannst, wenn Dir danach ist. Da fehlt IMHO der Unsicherheitsfaktor, der die Sache für mich ziemlich schwer zu ertragen macht.

@GreenSkyOverMe Viel schlimmer finde ich Vorbands. Man kennt die meist nicht und man weiß nie genau, wann der Kram endlich vorbei ist und das losgeht, weshalb man sich widerwillig in eine Menschenmasse hat drängen lassen.

@kaia Fallout 76 was, as far as I'm aware of, the only title of the series I didn't play. Why the hell would I want to interact with PEOPLE when gaming? I do that during work hours. Don't want that in the wasteland.
