@HistoPol @AxiosNews Dear #Republicans, #Tariffs must be consistent over years & across administrations to be effective. Trump sometimes changes tariff percentages on a daily basis. No country or company is going to start building manufacturing plants anywhere until they know what they can expect, not just next week, or next month, or next year, but next decade. Building a manufacturing facility takes years to build and twice as many (at a minimum) to break even. #Trump understands none of this.

It takes a special type to be a #Trump supporter and believe that you can tell women what words to say, that a person saying a certain word somehow *proves* their ethnicity, and that ethnic heritage is up for *other* people to decide. 🤦🏼

So if #KevinSorbo really is human, have him show us his brain. Let the people decide for themselves.

Whatever other excuses people may try to insert about border issues in the United States, the real reason is #racism. The same people, usually conservative religious types, who are crying about low birth rates and trying to have as many kids as possible, are the same ones saying that our country is too crowded for (non-white) #immigrants. The fact is that #immigration is the *only* reason our population is growing, & they all pay taxes.

We should be welcoming & thankful, not hateful & ugly.

@Radical_EgoCom So-called "strong" atheism is the bold claim that there are no gods or is no God. This is not due to evidence or proof, but belief.

So-called "weak" atheism is the disingenuous claim to merely disbelieve such and such about deities. And I say disingenuous because it's a semantics game. It is simply *not* the absence of belief, but the *presence* of belief(s) about the claims being made *for* god(s), namely, that they are all wrong on some level.

@Radical_EgoCom I think that's pretty much what I said: Not believing claims about gods makes one an agnostic. 🤷🏼♂️ It's the standard definition as far as I know.

@Radical_EgoCom For example, it's insufficient to say that I don't believe in Zeus. While that is true (I don't), the obvious corollary is to say that I *believe* support for Zeus's reality is sorely lacking. I can't prove he doesn't exist and I don't need to. It's a perfectly reasonable and defensible belief that I have about him. Different sides. Same coin.

@LaNaehForaday @Radical_EgoCom If you want a label that describes that belief, it would be "strong" atheism. And there is absolutely nothing irrational about it.

@Radical_EgoCom Agnosticism is the only authentic choice if a person wants to avoid belief. Otherwise they're committed to a belief of some sort about a deity's existence or non-existence.

Claiming "disbelief" & nothing more is merely a semantics game. It is trying to evade saying that they *believe* gods are not real, usually because they've been indoctrinated to *believe* that *belief* is weak. But belief is unavoidable here. If they're uncomfortable owning it, they should be agnostic.

Because #capitalism 🤦
