Third parties in the US like the Green Party or PSL are like pressure relief valves. They take the energy behind leftist causes and put it towards wasted effort. Such energy is better spent on DSA or Working Families primary candidates. They actually have a track record of gaining power in govt.

I went to see John Cleese live and of course he had a whole “you can’t tell jokes anymore because of the woke crowd” bit. The jokes he wanted to tell? Jokes about foreigners, but they ended up being jokes about the French hating themselves or Italian women being hairy. He didn’t joke about Mexicans nor Black people nor Trans people (surprisingly). Who are these woke strawmen giving him shit for jokes about Canadians? Honestly?

John Cleese stressed that there are jokes that are fun teasing and then there are hurtful jokes. He doesn’t do hurtful jokes. idk bro, that’s a pretty woke thing to say.

Cleese was proud of being a comedian who pushed boundaries when he was with the Pythons. Making jokes about taboo subjects like religion and sex, but that was edgy back then. Now you’re so old, you don’t know what edgy comedy is anymore and your recent attempts fall flat, so you blame the audience and not yourself.
