Autre sujet concernant l'évolution de la politique de modération chez #Meta pour ses différents produits. Autant ces changements ne seraient pas appliqués à ce jour en Europe, autant leur impact (contenus illégaux) parviendra forcément en Europe depuis les utilisateurs US de #Threads dès maintenant.

En effet, Threads utilisant le protocole #ActivityPub du #Fediverse et ayant ouvert Threads à la fédération, il ne contrôle pas quelles régions du monde sont destinataires des messages postés.

A new question on #Threads federation...

As the current state is #Threads "pushing" some content to the #fediverse, it means that it should accept incoming reports for abuse from #fediverse servers, even if the accounts have been selected among #Threads employees.

Does anyone know if #Threads has implemented the features to receive and acknowledge abuse reports through federation?
If that is not the case, any status on when it will be implemented before full fledged outgoing federation?

@Gargron Actually Firefox does not allow for PWA (which Mastodon implements), and that is still genuinely a plus on chrome/chromium's side.

"Twitter" and "Tweet" was actually a great brand to communicate about, because in many languages it sounds nice.
X is difficult to manipulate... some don't even dare say it because of the sexual connotation of course.
"Threads" is going to be really funny in France... I am looking forward to people on TV/Radio mentioning that name from "sreeds" to "tredz"...
"Mastodon" is fun :) And to be honest it is difficult to talk in public about the "fediverse" no une understands. Might need another word?

@renchap En fait, l'identité IG crée une audience immédiate puisqu'ils peuvent être identifiés tout de suite parmi leurs abonnés sur ce réseau-là, donc une partie de la migration est déjà faite pour eux (mais du coup une dépendance encore plus forte à une seule entreprise).

Donc il semblerait @qofficiel (l'émission Quotidien sur TMC) quitte bientôt Twitter, mais apparemment pour rejoindre #Threads. Yann Barthès évoquait jeudi.

Je pense que beaucoup de médias vont suivre un chemin similaire sans trop se poser de questions quant aux débats qui ont lieu sur #fedivers.
