I don't care what they say and my intention isn't arguments or hellthreads, I thought you were being trying to be genuine and not just do internet arguments. Most of their posts are railing against the Church and discussing anything isn't worthwhile.
Why is there no reason to believe there is no divine inspiration anymore, what possible reason is there that divine inspiration stopped, people are now unable to communicate with God except through the Bible? Hundreds of Bishops through rigorous prayer, discussion, and divine inspiration guided by the Holy Spirit compiled the Bible and then it went away?
Christ, our Savior, was the real and natural fruit of Mary's virginal womb . . . This was without the cooperation of a man, and she remained a virgin after that.
{Luther's Works, eds. Jaroslav Pelikan (vols. 1-30) & Helmut T. Lehmann (vols. 31-55), St. Louis: Concordia Pub. House (vols. 1-30); Philadelphia: Fortress Press (vols. 31-55), 1955, v.22:23 / Sermons on John, chaps. 1-4 (1539)}
Christ . . . was the only Son of Mary, and the Virgin Mary bore no children besides Him . . . I am inclined to agree with those who declare that 'brothers' really mean 'cousins' here, for Holy Writ and the Jews always call cousins brothers.
{Pelikan, ibid., v.22:214-15 / Sermons on John, chaps. 1-4 (1539)}
A new lie about me is being circulated. I am supposed to have preached and written that Mary, the mother of God, was not a virgin either before or after the birth of Christ . . .
{Pelikan, ibid.,v.45:199 / That Jesus Christ was Born a Jew (1523)}
Scripture does not say or indicate that she later lost her virginity . . .
When Matthew [1:25] says that Joseph did not know Mary carnally until she had brought forth her son, it does not follow that he knew her subsequently; on the contrary, it means that he never did know her . . . This babble . . . is without justification . . . he has neither noticed nor paid any attention to either Scripture or the common idiom.
Yeah, it's a mystery and I don't really know the full answer. I know that it's eternity and outside of our understanding. I have heard somethings about how time and earth viewed from eternity is everything is constantly and forever happening. This is reflected in Church services, prayers, and Divine Liturgy as events of the Gospel are taking place, not just that they happened once.
I will say it's funny that you're so against Holy Tradition but will mention Enoch. Jesus and the Apostles quoted Enoch which wasn't part of their scripture.
Truly and to claim knowledge of his repentance is odd and impossible. We say every night the prayer Ezekial says we say: "Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live."
Do you actually care? You don't seem to care about Ecclesiology.
The short answer which could be incorrect, is Divine Liturgy is when we can commune and partake in the Body and Blood of Christ. The actions imbued with the life of Christ and the Gospel are reminders and represent what Christ came to do and what we are called to do. Additionally, we want to pray and worship with all of our senses.
What do you think happens when you're saved, what is the end goal, beside heaven and eternal paradise?
I don't know the Catholic side and that's different than what @BowsacNoodle and I are arguing. One person not understanding complex meaning isn't a great thing to base it off of.
You can look at the Orthodox Priest Stole: The epitrachelion comes down in front almost to the hem of his robes, and is symbolic of the priest's "anointing" (Septuagint: Psalm 132:2; KJV: Psalm 133:2).
The Little Entrance of the Gospel embodies the beginning of Jesus’s public ministry.
The Great Entrance symbolizes the triumphant entrance of the Lord into the Holy city of Jerusalem where He is about to be crucified for the salvation of the world.
The incense is constantly referenced in the Old Testament worship and symbolizes our prayers going to heaven. Another point is many actions were parts of Old Testament worship and were "baptized" into Christian worship.
I sent this to nugger as well and you might enjoy it. It's a portion of Elder Cleopa having to deal with prots in Romania, this one in particular addresses Holy Tradition, everything he has is based on scripture and quotes from the Holy Fathers: https://orthochristian.com/38631.html
I guess my goals of working out and improving that way. And feeling like dying after having a high level nicotine patch and working out in extreme heat kind of killed my cravings after lol. I had been vaping with the patch on to wean myself off for a few weeks and it kind of went away after that event.
