You can look at the Orthodox Priest Stole:
The epitrachelion comes down in front almost to the hem of his robes, and is symbolic of the priest's "anointing" (Septuagint: Psalm 132:2; KJV: Psalm 133:2).
The Little Entrance of the Gospel embodies the beginning of Jesus’s public ministry.
The Great Entrance symbolizes the triumphant entrance of the Lord into the Holy city of Jerusalem where He is about to be crucified for the salvation of the world.
The incense is constantly referenced in the Old Testament worship and symbolizes our prayers going to heaven. Another point is many actions were parts of Old Testament worship and were "baptized" into Christian worship.
