@killyourfm I agree. It seems more like a refinement of what we already have with the Switch. Which is probably a good move on their part given how successful it has been.

Initial thoughts:

- I wish the name was more creative. This is the first time Nintendo has just appended a number to their previous console’s name.

- I’m glad it’s backwards compatible. I think I saw rumors that it might not be.

- I would have liked the new Joycons to have a bit more heft to them. I have to use a third-party grip on my Switch to make it comfortable to use for any length of time.

@killyourfm I don’t think I’d participate because I’m hit and miss when it comes to having enough time to play games, but I absolutely love this idea.

@killyourfm I currently use Linux, but am still fairly new.

My biggest concern long term is how restoring from a backup works.

I’m coming from macOS where Time Machine and apps like SuperDuper/Carbon Copy Cloner make it so easy.
