@killyourfm It could be that iPods are about 20 years old, which is when nostalgia starts kicking in.
I might not have picked my words quite right regarding Plex. I typically use Plex for all of my media so a lot of what I’d be syncing to my iPod isn’t in a state where I can easily do so.
I’ve been converting video and addding it to the TV app, converting flac files and importing them to the Apple Music app, and getting my audiobook files into the right format and adding them to the Books app.
@killyourfm coincidentally, I’ve been getting into iPods lately. I just ordered a refurbished 5.5G from eoe.works.
I’ve been spending all this week getting my media ready to sync to it — I primarily use Plex instead of Apple’s offerings — so it’ll be ready to sync when it arrives.
@photomatt I’m loving this. And happy early birthday!
Could I also offer a gentle nudge to encourage you to upload a profile photo, add a bio, and a verified link to your Mastodon account? It would help others verify that you are you and help prevent potential impersonators from gaining a following off your name.
My immediate reaction to the display was to think “I guess the Baptist, Catholic, Pentecostal, etc. churches in the state need to all put up their own.”
(I’m assuming you’re reacting to the display at the state capital, but realize after re-reading that you didn’t mention it specifically.)
They mentioned their existing controller support. Did they say anything about the new USB-C port’s video output support? Will latency be better than video out over Lightning?
@ademan I don’t know what’s more lame, continuing to complain about Gab in a Fediblock context or adding twitter.com to your block list “just in case”.
@alex my opinion of TOTK has changed as I played it more. I believe it’s overhyped, for sure, but now that I’ve spent more time with the mechanics, I think it’s a better game than BOTW.
The key difference for me is that the game is much easier to traverse. The ability to build vehicles, the existence of the towers, and sky islands make it so much easier to travel further without having to trudge through all the climbing that annoyed me during my playthrough of BOTW.
@alex The fuse ability with weapons is much nicer as well. It turns the weapon degradation into a mechanic — when one of my weapons breaks there’s this neat moment of discovery to see what I can put together when I pick up my next weapon.
There’s no longer the need to manage multiple types of arrows — you just have an inventory of plain arrows and fuse them with whatever type of item you need at the time.
