There is no future in tech, maybe just accept it and find something else to do rather than trying to climb higher in the crumbling pile of bones?

I mean it, leaving tech was one of the best things I ever did - I am about 5 years ahead of everyone else because lockdown and then brexit wiped me out and I never recovered.

Not sure which apps you mean, but I don't use anything outside of known trusted open source apps that are very respectful re data use. i.e. they only use what it actually needed e.g. if I play a track on Tidal, of course they know I have played it, and may even share that, but that's it!

The sandboxing is top notch!!

There was a time when I was okay with just going along with their erm... let's say 'direction' ... but it absloutely flooredme when I realisedI could no longer set up a network using manual details any more and the only way to get it to work was by using their DHCP, which (and I am struggling to recall how exactly they did this) effectively bypassed all attempts to secure my network connection... I know what I am doing with networking and it was just surveillance coercion!

Then I went on a mission looking into the network traffic a typical apple computer generatesin terms of sending data back to Apple, and oh my god!

I totally noped out - as I am sure you remember 😆

I had it this week with someone who accused me of sexually harassing kids, I did no such thing - all he did though was tell me *he* spends his days thinking about sex and kids. Sick fuck!
