@gamingonlinux and take all the fun away? Hear, hear!

Yeah, I dig @brucelawson 's podcast on the web, "For a Better Web".

In this episode, @evan wants all Tech Giants to join the Fediverse, start using ActivityPub, never mind the promotion of lies, hate, fascism.

The Social Web Foundation (@swf) seems to me as a fundamentally flawed project, because, as Audre Lorde so eloquently and famously put it:

"The master's tools will never dismantle the master's house."

@dansup say goodbye to your (social) life, Dan.

@dansup careful with the idols you choose.

@aral thanks for laying it out.

@Gargron I'd love to read a long-form post on this.

@gamingonlinux oooooh, thanks for clearing that out. It felt you were just shutting me down.

Shame they don't, it would be very juicy info.

@gamingonlinux thanks for being open to reader's suggestions!

@gamingonlinux gotcha. And as a reporter, can you ask for this information?

@gamingonlinux awesome, thanks for sharing. Is there a place where we can see absolute numbers and not just percentages? I'm curious about how many fellow Linux players are out there. :)

The guys at Ghost are doing a great job baking #ActivityPub into their core, and sharing the weekly exciting updates here:

@index

Give them a follow, they lost most of their followers recently due to a malfunctioning in the systems.

My humble website was linked on the official @Mastodon blog. Pretty stocked.

Thanks for the mention, @andypiper !

This is the OG post:

@bruces it's fine, it's "beta".

Cool things you can do in Mastodon and perhaps you weren't aware of:

* Create an RSS link from any Mastodon profile
* Validate your profile easily using your personal domain
* Use a column interface à là Tweetdeck (RIP)

Share your favorite use cases!

Blanket is a pretty awesome Gnome app to generate background sound. I'm presently between ocean and mountain.

Rich people win the game
Why is this a surprise?

@aral @eff yeah, we need to once and for all stop labeling Meta et al as cool, edgy, startup cos, and expose them for the power-hungry structures they truly are.

@aral are you referring to the @eff ?

@dansup haters gonna hate. Does the block feature work?
