I say take it a step further, go beyond thinking real hard, and start spending time with those people. Start bringing them into your process. You’ll get so much better at software that helps people.

They were kind of casting about for the scenarios where that really makes sense, and I thought the stuff where it was like, “you’re doing work in your computer, but you’re also making breakfast for your kids” was the weakest and most unsettling.
Sitting on a cramped airplane and being able to block out your surroundings and use a giant screen that doesn’t take up any physical space? Yes please.

Continually evolving, dynamic, living systems maybe need more gardening than architecture? And also what’s a good metaphor when the gardener is part of the garden? But maybe it’s just as important to reframe/expand our definition of architecture? I haven’t landed on an answer, but these are the things I ponder.
