@thomasfuchs this being in contrast to their favorite people who have no sense of humor except for harming others.

Justin 🌻 (onyxraven@hachyderm.io)'s status on Tuesday, 04-Jun-2024 05:31:42 JST Justin 🌻 @thomasfuchs I find this one interesting since it “just” acts as a Bluetooth headset would. The LTE ‘home base stations’ feel more sane to me, though that’s a separate ‘line’ to pay for.

Ped and bike enabled cities and towns are good. All of these things can be true, and all can be better than what we have.

Justin 🌻 (onyxraven@hachyderm.io)'s status on Tuesday, 07-May-2024 23:35:53 JST Justin 🌻 @thomasfuchs yet again, I’d want to be able to ‘drop into’ regular macOS on a pro. Why won’t they just merge the pro and the MacBook Air?

Justin 🌻 (onyxraven@hachyderm.io)'s status on Monday, 29-Apr-2024 06:36:34 JST Justin 🌻 @thomasfuchs the tech problems of these things “could” be innovated away, but the tech is (as always) years away (not holding my breath - the display tech alone is going to require some revolutionary change). The he human problems (eye strain, nausea) probably require some similar level discovery into how to solve dynamically for organic system differences. Looking like an idiot? That just doesn’t go away 🤣

Govt funded development. Really, same thibg for Tesla. If it wasn’t for e and *handwave* the rest, it’d all be incredible

Justin 🌻 (onyxraven@hachyderm.io)'s status on Tuesday, 06-Feb-2024 02:01:04 JST Justin 🌻 @thomasfuchs sadly, I can 100% see the code. a default (old) rails or other ORM+view framework pointed at a table will happily serialize everything. and usually that'd have those things in plaintext. Rails has since improved that with some heuristics.
