@thomasfuchs heck, computer science from the science (or math) dept is really just theoretical stuff, which is why we see blowhards talking about eigenspaces and category theory and not making people and tech work together.

@thomasfuchs @zacbir +1 - you’re also conflating computer science and computer/software engineering (even though there’s no professional computer engineering certification). Science is about making some ‘pretty’ equation / theory proof. Engineering is about making it work in reality. Though neither *really* concentrate on the user. Human Computer Interaction is a specialty (My original plan was to go into HCI with minor in psych but couldn’t make the program fit at the time)
