@thomasfuchs I find this one interesting since it “just” acts as a Bluetooth headset would. The LTE ‘home base stations’ feel more sane to me, though that’s a separate ‘line’ to pay for.

@thomasfuchs cars are good, variously accessible mobility is good. Good public transit is good. Ped and bike enabled cities and towns are good. All of these things can be true, and all can be better than what we have.

@thomasfuchs yet again, I’d want to be able to ‘drop into’ regular macOS on a pro. Why won’t they just merge the pro and the MacBook Air?

@thomasfuchs the tech problems of these things “could” be innovated away, but the tech is (as always) years away (not holding my breath - the display tech alone is going to require some revolutionary change). The he human problems (eye strain, nausea) probably require some similar level discovery into how to solve dynamically for organic system differences. Looking like an idiot? That just doesn’t go away 🤣

@thomasfuchs this is the most frustrating thing. Spacex has changed an industry and there’s cool science. Govt funded development. Really, same thibg for Tesla. If it wasn’t for e and *handwave* the rest, it’d all be incredible

@thomasfuchs by this I assume you mean a USB switch, but with maybe keyboard awareness to have a hotkey/combo to trigger the switch? (USB switches, even usb 3.2, are plentiful and cheap)
