@picardtips Otherwise we'll have to take the Enterprise and Voyage-her over to Deep Space Nine, where we may make a Discovery on the Lower Decks which uncovers a Strange New World.
I'm looking for some inexpensive production music that sounds believably like it's from the 1980s. There's a lot of free / cheap synthwave stuff out there that has an 80s vibe, but nothing that genuinely sounds like it could've come from the era. Anyone have any pointers on where to look? Boosts welcome.
Are there any shows / films / other fiction about time travel that actually make sense? Whenever I come across time travel, it's either doing mental gymnastics with itself to explain how everything works (e.g. Doctor Who and "the rules"), or it just doesn't bother and nothing has any consequence (e.g. Crash Bandicoot 3).
@HauntedOwlbear@MichaelKlamerus See, I would be interested in that - I've just heard very polarising reviews of Nexfcloud, and it doesn't seem like there's a decent equivalent. Which I can kind of understand - it's a pretty complex piece of software. Wonder if there's a specific service for it. I wouldn't mind using a web-based reader on my PC, but I prefer having an app on mobile.
@MichaelKlamerus The issue I have is that I'd like one that can sync between devices. And it probably exists, I just haven't had the opportunity to investigate properly
Friends! I am excited to announce a little thing I've had in mind for ages, and I'm finally doing:
The Stickfigure Film Festival!
This is a little community project centred around making fun little animations in Pivot Stickfigure Animator. All are welcome, and embellishments are totally allowed!
Deadline is December 1st, at which point I'll collate the submissions and do a screening live on my Twitch channel.
@HauntedOwlbear ListenBrainz might be the way to go - https://listenbrainz.org/ It's part of the same project as MusicBrainz, and their about page talks about being open and community-based, with a link to their Git repo.
@HauntedOwlbear I seem to remember you can find a pair of high heels in Symphony of the Night. (Or perhaps I just joked that they were heels because let's face it, Alucard seems the sort)
I have a plan in the back of my mind to build myself an arcade cabinet. I'd like to have it modelled after the Tempest machine - quite enjoy the angular aesthetic.
