   Do you still use last.fm?

   After discovering the Clementine / Strawberry supported scrobbling, I hooked up my account earlier this year after over a decade of dormancy, although it's only linked to a single device at the moment.

   The last.fm folks have always been very nice, but it's a closed, corporate-owned platform.

   Are there any currently active FOSS alternatives I ought to know about ?

     @HauntedOwlbear there were a few GNU fm sites. I think they are mostly unhealthy lately.

     I'm #SelfHosting https://github.com/krateng/maloja as an alternative... But I still scrobble to last.fm at the moment

     It's part of the same project as MusicBrainz, and their about page talks about being open and community-based, with a link to their Git repo.

     Libre.fm was another last.fm alternative, but it seems to have gone dormant in 2022 while they try to rewrite the software from scratch (someone should update Wikipedia):

     @andypiper @HauntedOwlbear I would love to shift to something that works exactly the same way but is open. I have history on last.fm that goes back to about 2008! I take great care to ensure every listen is captured and scrobbled too.
