The comments on this video are things like "these woke idiots will suffer on judgment day!!!!" my dude on judgement day I will face god with middle fingers fully extended & walk backwards into hell before it even gets the chance to judge me
It's really funny that this guy immediately focused on my profile picture upon seeing it. Cry harder so I can refill my water bottle with your tears. https://youtube.com/watch?v=u70ayB6efRg&t=9m15s
I'm still looking for a job in Minnesota, preferably near Minneapolis or Saint Paul. I'm mainly looking for entry level (so little or no experience & no college) IT, just something to get some experience with & start a career. If I can't get IT I want to work somewhere LGBT (not "LGBT friendly", I mean with other LGBT people), but not like a bar because I don't perform well in loud environments. I'm looking for a minimum of full time & $22 hourly, because after all of the math I've done I've determined that's the lowest I can get by with & still save money for emergencies.
I was a radio transmissions technician for over three years, working on servers attached to radio equipment & the radios themselves. I don't want to do radio again though. I'm proficient with Linux & similar systems & self host a few servers which I share with friends & family, such as my own cloud storage & media streaming I don't claim to be an expert, but I can write shell scripts too. I can terminate some cables.
@aral Ah, we allow two groups of disabled people to chart the course of humanity & then wonder why we live in a dystopian hellscape. Very insightful. Thanks for explaining your view on disabled individuals. Please grow & change as a person.
I have been informed that my job is not secure & I'll lose it within the next year month few weeks. I have lost my job & housing. Does anyone know of a place in Georgia or Minnesota that has entry level positions for IT or any similar computer stuff? Electronics repair is something I'm interested in too.
I was unable to get any certifications from my current job so I'm stuck at entry level. They told me they would give me opportunities for certifications, but they never came, so I feel scammed & don't feel bad about leaving this company.
I don't know when exactly I'm losing this job but I'm guessing in about a month, so I might need an immediate opening, just ideas about where I can look when the time comes now. I would prefer something LGBT friendly, because working with stereotypical anti LGBT boomers is killing me & I'm suffering in this environment.
If I can't get something in IT I'll take anything with a gay work environment that pays enough for me to live alone.
I'm still looking for a job & I have run out of time. If anyone can point me in a direction (or if you're the one that does the hiring) to get an entry level* IT, networking, or tech job in Georgia or Minnesota I would really appreciate it. I have less than a month to get a job as far as I know. I have found ONE job I qualify for that isn't guaranteed & I really need more options! I'll be happy if I have to fix a school's broken Chromebooks or teach Sharon how to turn the computer on, as long as I make enough money that I can save up for an education & have a place to live alone (that might even be what I'm best at).
Boosts & replies appreciated!
*So no degree or certifications or professional experience. Please because every single "entry level" listing I can find requires a bachelor's degree & ten years of experience. That is not entry level.
@JulianOliver It would be super cool to be able to automatically synchronize a list of common commercial Wi-Fi networks, like what supermarkets & restaurants have, to have any device running this automatically connect to them for the purpose of kicking off these glasses. I'm not sure what could be done about ones tethered to smartphones for mobile data though.
@NeonPurpleStar@rpmrosie@puppygirlhornypost2 It doesn't have to be Linux & all terminals specifically. "Ricing" is just customizing your computer. A rice can be any customization that took more time than changing the wallpaper & primary color. I think the term "ricing" comes from car nerd culture, where they call customizing their cars that for some reason. My laptop & my desktop are all riced, but both are mostly not terminals & I rarely have terminals open for more than a few minutes. You can actually rice Windows too but it's harder & there's less you can do. Terminals are just common to see in screenshots of riced desktops because they're easy to make look pretty.
@jessew@kateyagi I need Android 7, 8, & 9 back so bad. "Scoped storage is to protect your sensitive data :)" but it doesn't do shit because it still allows access to your home folder where your sensitive data is, & you can't selectively disable it for a trusted file manager to be able to put your sensitive files somewhere else!
@jessew@kateyagi It hasn't been secure in a long time because it both stopped trusting the user to make security decisions about what access programs should have & started deciding that on its own (allow most things by default with no option to turn them off) & that it trusts the user too much to make security decisions (Google Play Protect is the same as Windows Defender's annoying ass little popups that do nothing to educate you on what the issue is). Modern Android doesn't even ask for admin privileges to install a package, which every other Linux based anything does, even your microwave oven!
@jessew@kateyagi How would hardware attestation ban most of their users when they're mostly normal people that have never installed a new operating system or gotten a part replaced?
I'm cleaning this Samsung Galaxy Book Flex (model number NP950QCG-K01US) that I was scammed for $900 for a few years ago when I REALLY needed a laptop even if it was this half broken, flimsy piece of shit. I encountered some anti repair bullshit upon opening it & I immediately bent the heat pipe. The heat pipe is almost entirely free floating inside the laptop with only the connection to the CPU & a blob of some sort of tar glue holding it in place on the opposite side. That tar glue isn't just on the opposite end of the heat pipe, it's also on the bottom instead of the top, attaching it to the bottom casing panel! It's so that when you try to pull it off it bends the heat pipe! This does not seem to be documented anywhere, at least not that I could find because iFixIt & other repair websites don't have this model listed at all & I didn't check many others! #Samsung#RightToRepair
@lizzy "you don't get it!!! EVERYONE has telegram!!!! I have to use telegram because everyone has it!!!" ok well not everyone would have it if you would use something else dumbass Why are they all like this?
