Luna Lactea@jessew @kateyagi It hasn't been secure in a long time because it both stopped trusting the user to make security decisions about what access programs should have & started deciding that on its own (allow most things by default with no option to turn them off) & that it trusts the user too much to make security decisions (Google Play Protect is the same as Windows Defender's annoying ass little popups that do nothing to educate you on what the issue is). Modern Android doesn't even ask for admin privileges to install a package, which every other Linux based anything does, even your microwave oven!
