yea sorry they didnt really do it for me . the season itsekf was good , and on paper having a manipulative incorporeal evil can be super cool and scary but like … it doesnt do much ig ?? after a certain point of the season it never rlly achieves anything anymore ?? i just feel like theres a lot of wasted potential there , like . the psych ward thing . i was expecting it to have a comeback but nope . buffy just doesnt care about the manipulation , ig . whatever

caleb is a mysoginist priest and was probably about as charming as adam.

ok this one i . straight up like . no real mistakes here . pure evil . genuinely scary .

ok listen i LOVED glory . she is THREATENING , and genuinely scary . but like .. she kinda sits on her ass a lot ig ? and idk , the ben thing shouldve been expanded more . it mattered very little but it was interesging

bro faith was amazing . the dynamic was perfect , her motives all made sense and yet never outright expositioned too much how she felt or what was going on with her . great season . i wish snyder didnt die but it was his time i suppose

2: willow

man what . the . hell . thats what i thought when tara died . i knew it . you knew it . and then it happened . im not gonna lie her villain arc isnt as well written as other villains . but its driven by lesbian yearning , and sometimes ? thats all that matters.

@georgia she was AMAZING but im pretty sure she wouldnt come back because she had BIIIIG issues with whedon

@SuperDicq omemo1 is fine but conversations not implementing the newer standard is holding everything back and it sucks . clients in general suck . especially compared to irc ones

senpai is a joy to use . catgirl is a joy to use . profanity makes me want to punch thru my monitor . gajim is one of the clunkiest pieces of software ive ever used . dino is .. eh . conversations sucks . its all bad and i really hope it gets better because matrix is definitely not the solution to this problem

@SuperDicq the one thing that xmpp needs to “stay relevant” are decent clients that support decent encryption , not stories , although sure im not opposed to them being there i just found it a little funny :P

also irc isnt stuck in the past , its a simple protocol by design , and even the modern versions dont wanna change that , and that shows in the quality of the software written for it . irc is genuinely a joy to use even now
