completely unrelated and maybe a weird question, but how did you get the idea to add emphasis with surrounding interpuncts?

i love that it looks more subtle and elegant than using *stars* or bold print but less subtle than using italic. kind of a sweet spot for my taste. :)

we cannot let ourselves become pessimistic, yes, but adopt an optimistic viewpoint on reducing commodity consumption. that needs collective policy though and this is where the current political system fights against our own interests through lobbying and greenwashing.
