Poland really started to leave the U.S. in the dust in terms of putting PV power onto their grid post-full-scale invasion of #Ukraine

The last six cables from EV chargers in St. Albert were stolen recently.

The city had 26 EV chargers, though only six were operational as of Aug. 20 since another theft, of eight cables in June, had gone unaddressed.

The copper from a 25-foot cable is worth only about $7 so these are obviously NOT thefts since the risk/reward ratio does not work out at all. This is actual ecoterrorism is what it is, intended to slow down and potentially block EV adoption.

Y'all need to stop taking what is publicly said by nations at war at face value imo.

I've noticed that people that are doomers in regard to our ability to address our climate crisis are also doomers in regard to democratic experiment ever getting any better too it seems.

Clinton got mad at me for calling them a doomer because they said that our children are doomed because we did not stop burning fossil fuels long ago.

I pointed out that is not necessarily their fate. In response they call me a cunt.

We will never know what impact organizations like Tenet Media had on things like the six-month delay for U.S. aid to Ukraine because we do not know how many legislators based their votes on what their constituents learned from the influencers working for the Kremlin.

Oil dropped to below $71 a barrel—nearly 4%—on Tuesday, erasing all its gains for the year. Driving the losses were concerns about weakening demand from China and a production increase from OPEC+nations.

West Texas Intermediate crude, the U.S. standard, was off 3.7%; Brent crude, the international benchmark, was down more than 4.5%.

Ten dollars less a barrel and over half of the oil producers in USA will go bankrupt.

Don't get me wrong, I hope that they can do it, but this proposal from META and Sage Geothermal to produce four cents per kW electricity using Thermal Electric Generators and 150-200C water seems quite unlikely imo.

Just saw an announcement come by my newsfeed with a cute promotional video, but all I found on Sage's website was a 2021 announcement of the collaboration so I'm assuming that META is just recycling the story for greenwashing to deflect from their AI carbon footprint, but maybe not.

I noticed that Michael Smerconish invited to give airtime to the Trumper that took the FPOTUS onto Arlington National Cemetery to wage a political attack against President Biden and Vice President Harris.

He lied for the Trump campaign and let her lie about the campaign at the cemetery. It's not surprising, but it sure is sad what has happened to our only domestic news outlet that provides at least some coverage of international events.

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) took aim at Vice President Harris’s foreign policy chops on Monday, saying Harris does not elicit fear in the country’s adversaries overseas. “The only person that our adversaries fear less than Joe Biden is Kamala Harris,” Johnson said in an interview.

Don't forget that Moscow Mike blocked aid from going to Ukraine for over four months!

As to energy prices, I noticed that CNN's Jake Tapper "called out" VP Harris for not having a more thoroughly fleshed out set of policy positions for him to critique yet he hasn't criticized Trump's promise to lower energy prices by 50% his first year back in office.

That would cause instant recession or worse.

In my book, I talk about the infamous “Luntz Memo” of 2002, where Republican pollster Frank Luntz advised opponents to regulation of carbon emissions that they should use the term “climate change” rather than “global warming” because it sounds less threatening. The irony is that the critics [claim] scientists use “climate change” because it sounds more threatening—the opposite of what Luntz had determined from his polling and focus groups!

I hope that all of my followers will think of this whenever they hear Frank Luntz's name.

I can't estimate the actual amount so I think we should just blame half a degree of warming on Frank Luntz and make him pay.

We are doing it! Oil prices plummeted yesterday and today the price for methane is dropping and producers are cutting back on investing new wells. This is how we win the war for a stable climate.

Benchmark natural-gas futures ended Monday at $2.235 per million British thermal units, down 15% from a year ago and 29% less than the recent peak in mid-June.

So far this month analysts say production has declined by more than two billion cubic feet a day.

Looks like Biden's secondary sanctions are really taking a bite out of Russia's ability to make money selling their fossil fuels.

China's crude oil imports from top supplier Russia fell in July by 7.4% from a year earlier according to Reuters.

Putin may be forced to start selling oil at sixty dollars a barrel or less soon which would drive down prices globally and will help everyone with inflation woes.
