The show numbers of the episodes I have already done are: 4104, 4114, and 4227
I will strive to record and upload the fourth in the next couple of weeks.

I have done three jq episodes. I have the next waiting to record. I had something of a burnout in 2024 after 12 years of HPR janitorial work! It's been difficult to resume making shows. Now I'm 76 my energy is less also.
I have been listening to "This Week in Virology" for a long time now. I was recommended to listen by a TWiT virology podcast that was closing down, and came to enjoy it a lot. It helped me cope with the pandemic, and is teaching me a lot. I have started following Vincent's virology lectures recently.
I have a Zoology degree and embarked on a PhD in the 1970s, which I eventually abandoned. The TWiV preamble reminds me of being a student back then, with lots of daily chat going on 😃
@jezra @hpr @ken_fallon I have never written an RSS/Atom parser from the ground up. I used Perl's 'XML::Feed' module for my (now defunct) DIY podcatcher.
@ken_fallon @jezra @hpr The feeds I'm trying to make the new static site generator create don't have comments! That doesn't make them "correct" or guarantee they can be parsed, of course.
@archer72 @hpr Nyckelharpa? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nyckelharpa
Never heard one in real life but I love unusual instruments 😉
@bobjonkman @ghostdancer @AntennaPod @hpr @silverwizard In my case discovering #AWK was an introduction to the "Unix Way". I found a version to run on the OpenVMS system I was administering in the 1980's or later, and it made life so much easier. Handling data from the student records system (to make accounts for them) was so much easier than writing compiled programs!
@luke Hi Luke. Not felt the need to migrate yet, but I don't use Mastodon a lot these days. I'm still in touch with a number of people I "met" on GNUSocial 👍
@luke Still keeping active doing stuff to help run Hacker Public Radio. Retired nearly 14 years now and having a great time. I see your messages passing by and you seem busy 😉
Old guy, retired IT Manager, helping to administer Hacker Public Radio (https://hackerpublicradio.org) until I "retire" as an HPR Admin in March 2025. Been helping out for over 12 years, and it's been great fun!Coding in Bash, Perl, sed, awk. A Vim enthusiast for many years.Been on Mastodon since it started. Before that on Identi.ca after meeting Fediverse advocates at FOSDEM!Yes, I know my handle is '@perloid', but that's because I like Perl, not 'cos I'm any good at it!
