If you’re going to try to disingenuously invoke the motte-and-bailey fallacy to bolster your position, then you should at least understand it so it can be used properly. The positions that were presented were simple and very straightforward. Would you care to make an argument against any of them?

The vote they cast makes no difference in the outcome. However, the overall quantity of ballads that they collect does matter.

The system only needs to show that they held ‘an election’. This shows that people have co-signed the legitimacy of the system that rules them. The quantity of votes are used to represent legitimacy.

The facade will quickly fall once people stop showing up to consent to a system that does not serve their interests.

They really do own almost everything and have the power to quash almost any technology that could possibly emerge.

Innovation has intentionally been made almost impossible due to the current business environment that’s been artificially (and intentionally) manufactured. It would be almost impossible to pull-off a successful technical product launch that could possibly threaten the current status-quo.
