I sometime think about the Chinese philosopher Mencius, who said that we need to plant and cultivate many seeds, because you don't know which ones will sprout or be needed later. We also need to plant many seeds because we don't know if or when they will actually lead to something better.
@FullyAutomatedRPG I have often thought that the biggest flaw in activism is that we want change but we also want to see that change happen. Most of the time, we are planting seeds that will sprout long after we are gone. We just need to accept that and get to work.
No, it really hasn't. And I sometimes feel like I need to carry a large chart in my pocket to explain what the Fediverse is.
I wish more of the people I knew IRL were here but I have met so many great people and organizations here that I would never have met otherwise - that makes it easier 🤗
