I just don't mind if someone says whatever, and I don't think I have to agree on every point in order to be friends or have a common goal. I do think it is unnecessary to pull economics into this to disagree with the guy, you know? People get upset if you call them idiots, I'm pretty sure I'm an idiot but I'm also fairly certain that attempts to rein in fedi are evil.
