Aswath Rao@TeaPol @buercher @atomicpoet @fediversenews Yes Mastodon support OAuth only w read/write access. It was discussed in the forum a few yrs back. Look for comments from @aaronpk. He advocated use of Permissionless OAuth as is done by IndieAuth. In the absence of that, @owncast has improvised it by sending OTP as a DM. They call it FediAuth.
