    英国とイギリス英語圏ではPrawn(プロウン)。

      https://www.eater.com/2019/9/15/20866854/whats-the-difference-between-shrimp-prawns

      @gaby Back in the early 80s, Paul Hogan made an TV ad for Tourism Australia in which he said the line "throw another shrimp on the barbie" (instead of "prawn") so that American viewers would understand. To this day, "throw another shrimp on the barbie" is associated with being Aussie even though we don't say "shrimp"!

      @korenani Oh, this is an "American commercial" after all. When did Crocodile Dundee hit? Shrimp, not Prawn! At that time I didn't understand English as much as I do now, but Paul Hogan's Australian English accent must have been one of the reasons why it was such a hit in America! (I found that CM and made another toot).
