     No. If your parents financially support you, you’re obligated to follow their rules. If you don’t, they’re not obligated to pay for you anymore. It’s a pretty basic trade off. This mostly applies to older teenagers and into adulthood. I have no issue with parents helping their kids out financially. But then the kid is morally obligated to respect their authority.
