@p No but really people look at like, people fedposting and saying "it's just a prank bro", unsurprisingly the police is called on them: "Wow comedy is illegal now"

@judgedread Every time I have banned someone for fedposting, I got a wave of complaints. I figured the complaints were better than getting a disclosure request from the feds and "The shooter used FSE" being used as an excuse to crack down on fedi.
Honestly not sure how seal.cafe lasted as long as it did, given the people on it. They've moved to nice honeypot dot digital, which, because of the shit on there, will eventually be the website that gets named as the excuse to fuck the rest of us over. eris_vs._claire.png
@p I implemented a 'no group chat' rule after I quit the third or forth Gab chat that instantly decayed into fedposting. At least one Gab chat participant killed himself after Bowers because the feds started raiding guys who had been in chats with the shooter.
@p Oh, I was fairly sure BIG social was being rigged. The shocking revelation is that they really were astroturfing on our tiny backwaters. There was so much funding to staff the project that they left no stone unturned.
> The shocking revelation is that they really were astroturfing on our tiny backwaters.
That wasn't a shocking revelation; I have been posting about this for years. For my part, I didn't need proof for what I could see with my own eyes on my own machine.
Stand up an instance, open registrations, and then when weird shit happens in your logs, try to fix the problems. To fix the problems you've got to diagnose them, and when you do, you will find IP addresses out of government buildings, you will find pedophiles living in Ft. Meade, you will find massive scraping operations run by academic institutions.
> There was so much funding to staff the project that they left no stone unturned.
I keep posting these things and no one listens. It's not just the US, Germany also.
@p I never doubted feds and academic leftist members of the control grid were scraping. They've been bragging about doing so for ages.
I did doubt that a fed funded human would generate sock puppets and argue with us on sites with a few thousand daily active users, but it appears I was mistaken.
Oh, I did always believe FBI and other glowniggers were posting bait to ENTRAP easily provoked rubes to acquire victims for show trials, but that's not the only thing they did.
It seems they actually attempted to spread propaganda.
> I did doubt that a fed funded human would generate sock puppets and argue with us on sites with a few thousand daily active users, but it appears I was mistaken.
The German feds admitted to doing so a long time back. But you know, if they're on the less popular chans, it'd be more surprising if they weren't here. But I think, like, this is stuff you can find out directly by running an instance.
If anything came out of Doggycoin dot government about this and you have links handy, I'm really interested.
It only takes a small number of people backing someone with enough charisma to start a preference cascade. Club fed knows their grip is weak - and the worse the standard of living gets, the less glue holding the rickety framework that is the GAE sticks.
So they will entrap, skitzo-post, shatter-op and argue in the most obscure of locals rather than risk someone with the ability to rally others picking up a following.
One capable man, with ice-water in his veins and 500 absolutely loyal die-hards could cause unbelievable problems - not the least of which would be showing all the rest of the cattle how little reach the feds truly have absent a wholly compliant local government to save their asses.
@hakui wow kahui with another important contribution. the type you would expect from a 40 year old balding man with no dignity and shits for brains. you said you wanted to blow them out? better check if you haven't already, because you fooled me
Especially given the paper by Facebook researchers about "emotional contagion" that had a study period that overlapped with Kony2012. I'm pretty sure this was a hugely successful psyop experiment.
> The idea that all of social media is a giant trap to make people rabidly and temporarily like/hate certain things is interesting, and being forcibly isolated from it may have made my life far better.
I don't think it's an organic push by normies demanding the Mall Internet, right, I think if you had TV/radio as a propaganda channel all these decades and suddenly people care about the web, maybe you push things that direction. Glowies that were used to being able to just phone up Facebook and get information started shitting themselves over E2EE. "We're going dark!" They don't wanna lose a thing they had.
@p@judgedread That's an interesting point and I'm actually kinda shocked that everyone forgot about this. The idea that all of social media is a giant trap to make people rabidly and temporarily like/hate certain things is interesting, and being forcibly isolated from it may have made my life far better.
@judgedread@p if the hire people to post in group chats, where at times they only 5 to 30 people, it shouldn't come as a surprise if they pay people to post on the FEDiverse
@nyanide@p if one is irony poisoned just get back to speaking straightdorwardly and more directly, occasionally figurative, not doing things or saying things ironically, it's the opposite of what one should be doing. Expression is part of identity, shows someone's character and disposition.
