@d0c40r0 @DMA @Rose @tyler @verita84 @themilkman >We’ve also talked fairly extensively about death, no remarriage for us
Bro what? You are in one of the most high risk professions out there and you're asking her to make that kind of commitment? If you die, she should be able to remarry and vice versa. Honestly it's silly to me to think otherwise.

I am super attached to him. He has been told. I must go first. Cause he is not allowed to go anywhere without me.

My woman and I have a similar deal, not that we can really make it happen
We’ve also talked fairly extensively about death, no remarriage for us

The Bible never said we can’t have an eternal best friend!

I phrased it wrong, I was more asking about if it’s morally right to remarry after death but I phrased it wrong and now I can’t edit

I don’t support necromancy so please don’t marry after you die.

@d0c40r0 @DMA @Rose @tyler @verita84 @themilkman By the same logic, I think anyone who says "no single mothers" should say "no single mothers except widows". Stuff happens and sometimes it's literally just a freak accident or other unavoidable calamity.

@d0c40r0 @DMA @Rose @tyler @verita84 @themilkman Do yourself a favor and get good life insurance (whole life with a disability rider) because the cancer risk is only going to go higher from general environmental pollution.

Commercial aviation doesn’t really have that issue except for cancer deaths
Also we weren’t talking in a moral sense, most of it was in a “do you actually want to” sense
Figure if we have kids we’ll just get the family to help out

@d0c40r0 @DMA @Rose @tyler @verita84 @themilkman How do the uncles and grandfathers feel about this? Give your potential widow a bit of control over the situation. I've already told my wife that if I'm gone, I want her to be happy, whether single or with a new husband. Her happiness is the most important thing to me. I feel like it's almost selfish to think otherwise.

I second this whole-heartedly.

They’ve already said they’d be fine with it
At the end of the day if she really feels like she should she can but I’d still rather she didn’t since in her own words the only reason she would is for help with the kids and there’s other options for that

@d0c40r0 @DMA @Rose @tyler @verita84 @themilkman The same reason you should get life insurance is the same reason you shouldn't put restrictions on each other like that. I have seen women who lost their husband while they were pregnant and others right before their planned retirement. It just sucks man, and I don't think you should stick one another with no options or with guilt in case God has other plans.

Especially for a woman. So she’s supposed to live alone the rest of her life? And if she meets someone who loves her and wants to take care of her, she has to feel guilty about remarrying? Don’t you want what’s best for her?

it would be selfish if I intended to marry if something went wrong

If you feel bad, just go to confession.
Handled. This weird puritan nonsense has to stop. It'll take care of itself. Who knew refusal to breed was a losers game.
