Yes, I watched that shit. The only thing it has in common with FLCL are the villains and Haruko. All 3 Episodes are the same bullshit form a different point of view. The animators where als thrice as lazy as usual. The motherfuckers animated the same climax thrice. And every time they had to play Blues Drive Monster instead of something else. Fuck Adult Swim for getting ripped off for that nonsense.

Ted Turner's news network, CNN, now gets more viewers when Alex Jones plays a clip of one of their broadcasts than they get through any of their own outlets, and their attempt at a streaming service netted them fewer subscribers than there were employees working on the streaming service. Justice.

Alternative is more padding and sets up an entirely new plotline that has nothing to do with anything. All it does for FLCL itself is presenting medical Machinae lore for retards.
Progressive, the actual sequel gives is....flat. It falls short on various fronts. Its maybe worth watch, but meh. Its Haruko trying to get Atomsk's dong all over again.
And there is Shoegaze which is about the psionic MC, maniac pixie dream girl (maybe somehow the creators talked Adult Swim out of overusing Haruko) and Atomsk as phat birb on a tower. Remember how I have mentioned? Well spoilers ahead: In Alternative, the situation was so hopeless, that the entire upper class fled in a colony ship to Mars. One of the protection measures had a little side effect; You see, they are living in some kind of pocket dimension that turns them into spookie ghosts. Spookie ghosts that are visible to the MC that is talked into climbing the tower with la ebin BPD grill so she can reach Atomsk, because.... I don't know. Maybe Haruko found a Sonichu Medaillion and is now wearing it off screen and this caused the dumb tower to appear so the Studio didn't have to design a setting that is more appealing than a commie block. Anyway, one of the main characters from Alternative is now working for the spook agency from the original, deals with the Tower and the new plot from Alternative also gets resolves. Hooray!
What a waste of my goddamn time.

It was good, but it was done. I tried playing those romhack fan sequels of Chrono Trigger, right, and they were just terrible. Made me want to replay the original just so I could forget them. I didn't even get too far.
So a chop shop buys FLCL and then gives Ted Turner's drones the rights to distribute the sequels and it's almost guaranteed that it's going to be worse than a fan-fiction version.
